WWA have undertaken a number of asset evaluations for clients. Each evaluation is tailored to the property portfolio of the client and generally involves detailed analysis of existing and projected housing need, surveying of properties, location analysis, conducting interviews, assessment of Local Authority Planning Policies and Housing Strategy, cost analysis, recommendations on tenure and design proposals.
Information required for the evaluation is collected through both desktop research and on-site analysis. WWA work closely with the client to ensure the data collected and options sought contribute to the housing development targets and strategic vision of the organisation.
Much of the current housing stock does not meet modern space standards, resident aspirations and target emission levels. Part of the analysis is to advise on how alterations and improvements to the properties can help to better meet these targets. Analysis is provided on what steps should be taken and costed options are drawn up to show how to improve the properties. This can range from simple internal refurbishments to complete demolition and rebuild.
