Technical Design at WWA
WWA has worked on various projects involved in delivering technical design packages for contractors through Traditional and Design & Build procurement. WWA is a lead consultant with extensive experience managing specialist consultants and coordinating subcontractor and supplier input to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
We operate in Revit and use various packages to share information across the contractor team to BIM Level 2 and have successfully delivered numerous schemes from RIBA Stage 4 onwards. Our collaborative approach ensures high-quality, relevant drawings and specifications, assisting contractors in delivering the finished building.
WWA also has extensive experience in various construction methods, including traditional and MMC techniques, including steel, concrete, lightweight steel, timber, and panelised timber. They adapt to contractor preferences and use standard layouts and components for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. This allows for repeatable details and workflows across sites, resulting in a simple build process. WWA’s resourcing approach is person-centred, with a Director assigned to every project and a wide resource base to service individual projects. This approach ensures the project is delivered to the project programme.
Our particular expertise lies in housing, specialist housing, education and heritage and we have delivered a number of prestigious projects over the years including:
› Two Bridges, Hounslow
› Eden House, Hounslow
› Maidment Court, Poole
› All Souls College, Oxford
› Lord Wandsworth College, Long Sutton, Hampshire
› Abingdon Prep, Abingdon-upon-Thames, Oxfordshire
